About Heights Arts

Heights Arts (HA) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community arts organization in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Founded in 2000, Heights Arts enriches the quality of life in the Heights by cultivating a strong, diverse, and collaborative arts community.

Our Goals

HA goals are:

Cleveland Heights, Ohio, has a long history as a community rich in the arts. From the city's inception community life, education, and the arts went hand-in-hand. Cain Park, a municipally owned and operated summer arts venue built in 1938, is named after Cleveland Heights' very first mayor, Frank Cain. Today Cain Park's summer schedule features national touring artists and an award-winning national arts and crafts show.

The city's proximity to University Circle, home to cultural destinations in Cleveland which include the Cleveland Museum of Art and Severance Hall, has created a community rich with artists, performers, art educators, administrators and others who make their livelihood in the performing or visual arts.

Heights Arts is helping Cleveland Heights fulfill its potential to be a community that promotes an environment rich in arts and recreation year round. A community commitment to arts enriches our lives in ways that are not necessarily quantifiable: living is simply better. Arts and recreation provide people of varied backgrounds — no matter what their race, religion, or culture — a comfortable way to come together and learn about each other and to strengthen the community through understanding.

Heights Arts facilitates public art projects, supports arts in education, offers art classes and provides venues throughout the year for local performers and artists.
