Artemis Herber was born and educated in Germany. She completed her studies in Fine Arts and Art Education at the University of Paderborn where she earned scholarships and prizes. As a teacher she received several awards for her projects in art and art education and was involved in community art programs and as a coordinator for advanced education in statewide projects.
Her work has been exhibited in Germany, Spain, Italy and the USA including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY and the Sculpture Center in Cleveland. She moved to the USA in 2002 and maintains a studio in the Murray Hill Schoolhouse in Little Italy.
