Laura Kushnick graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1996. She earned a BA in Studio Art from Wesleyan University, where she fell in love with printmaking. Upon graduation Laura moved to Stuttgart, Germany, and then to New York City. After years of working in a variety art-related fields, Laura completed an MA in Art Education at NYU in 2006 and taught elementary art in the South Bronx for one year. Laura has recently returned to Cleveland to pursue teaching in her home town and to devote more time and energy to her own work. Laura has become a member of Zygote Press and is enjoying taking part in Cleveland’s vibrant arts community.
