Heights Arts House Concerts

Heights Arts presents a series of chamber music concerts performed in homes and other unique intimate settings for audiences of 60 people. Attendees are thrilled to be able to see and hear internationally known professional musicians play up close in an informal and personal space.

Artistic Director Isabel Trautwein, a Cleveland Orchestra violinist, brings colleagues together to select programs of music that they want to play. Advance reservations are a must, as the concerts always sell out.

2009-2010 season

Tickets for the concerts are $40 per concert per person/ $35 per concert for members of Heights Arts. All concerts are followed by a dessert reception. Times, programs and venues to be announced. Call 216-371-3457 or e-mail heightsarts@heightsarts.org for more information.

This concert series is made possible through the generosity of David H. Lavelle, CFP, The Ohio Arts Council, and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.

An undaunted Cleveland Orchestra String Quartet will take you on a wild and crazy ride with the music of a Hungarian master: Gyorgi Ligeti wrote his first string quartet, Metamophoses Nocturnes, in 1953. This extremely demanding piece explores the limits of the players and combines Hungarian and Gypsy rhythms with the sounds of night to create a work that is irresistibly exciting. Yu Jin will join in to round off the evening with the masterful Quintet in A major by Felix Mendelssohn.
