Under the Arch at the corner of Euclid Heights Boulevard and Coventry Road
Crooked River Fire Brigade: Bluegrass

This group performs bluegrass music ranging from well-known standards to new material by artists’ such as Allison Kraus. The Crooked River Fire Brigade includes Cleveland Heights’ own Fred Mayer (this is his last engagement!) and Greg Stiles, owner of Heights Guitars.

June 10: 7:00 pm
Under the Arch at the corner of Euclid Heights Boulevard and Coventry Road
Roots to Rock: Bluegrass, blues, rock & roll

This group exhibits a wide range of musical styles from roots and blues to well-known rock and roll from the 50’s and 60’s.
Roots to Rock includes front man Kevin Richards of the organization Roots of American Music, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and presentation of America’s music.


June 17: 7:00 pm
Under the Arch at the corner of Euclid Heights Boulevard and Coventry Road
The JiMiller Band: Jam band music (Grateful Dead, Phish)

Jam band music draws from a range of traditions including blues, bluegrass, funk, jazz, rock, psychedelia and even techno.
The JiMiller Band is fronted by Jim Miller, a Cleveland Heights resident, of Oroboros fame.
The band plays jam band music, including covers of the Grateful Dead, Phish and the Beatles.

June 24: 7:00 pm
on the green next to NightTown, 12387 Cedar Road
Harvest Moon: Rockabilly, blues & classic rock

With influences including folk, blues, pop, bluegrass, rock-n-roll, country, jazz, and American roots music---guitarists Kevin Richards and Jeff Varga, along with drummer Scott Flowers and bassist Joey Pavlovitch have played it all (including Dixieland, classical, and polkas). As a four-piece group Harvest Moon enjoys performing a variety of guitar-based music ranging from 1950s rockabilly and blues to '60s and '70s electric folk and classic rock.

Monet's Orbit: Original rock & roll

Led by songwriter Susan Weber, Monet’s Orbit uses vocals, guitars, bass, harmonica and percussion to create a unique sound.

Cedar Hill: Bluegrass

Cedar Hill is a roots music band that incorporates blues, folk, traditional country, bluegrass, rock & roll, rockabilly and various combinations of these styles to create its own unique sound.

Cedar Lee Festival
Live music with N*O*S, rocket car, hands-on activities.
N*O*S* (New Old Style): R&B from the 50's and 60's

N*O*S, named WMJI’s House Band in 2003, plays a wide range of tunes from the 1950's and 1960's with an infectious energy.

July 15:
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Coventry Fair on Coventry road with farmer's market, street performers, outdoor dining and sidewalk sale.
7:00 pm: Under the Arch : Live music with Blue Lunch: Swing & Jump Blues

Blue Lunch is an eight piece band that plays 1950’s era swing and jump blues and Chicago-style blues. The band was founded by Cleveland Heights resident Peter London in 1984 and has performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Severance Hall and numerous other venues throughout the Greater Cleveland area.

July 22: 7:00 pm
on the green next to NightTown, 12387 Cedar Road
A.C.O.: Jazz & rock

A jazz and rock band consisting of a 3-4 piece rhythm section and 1-2 horn section. A.C.O. mixes styles, taking songs by masters of songwriting and performing including Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, the Beatles, James Brown, Led Zeppelin and Marvin Gaye, and reworking them into a new unique instrumental style with the flavor of Latin jazz.

The Blue Drivers

The Blue Drivers repertoire will drive your blues away with a mix of original tunes, modern blues and swinging jump blues

The Suspenders: Blues & swing

Dubbed Northeast Ohio's most original swing and blues band, The Suspenders play a mix of original and standard swing and blues. The group is headed-up by Cleveland Heights resident Seth Rosen.

 

August 12:
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Coventry Fair on Coventry road with farmer's market, street performers, outdoor dining and sidewalk sale.
7:00 pm:Under the Arch : live music with Carlos Jones and the PLUS Band: Reggae

Carlos Jones has been performing in Cleveland for over twenty years. Carlos was a former member of the Cleveland reggae bands I-TAL and First Light. The Peace, Love, Unity Syndicate was formed in formed in 1994 by Carlos as a side project and the band continues to be a presence on the Cleveland music scene. They were recently voted “the Best Reggae/Ska Band in Northeast Ohio by the Free Times and Scene Magazine readers's poll.

August 19: 7:00 pm
Noble Nela
Dance Afrika Dance: Dance

Led by Akil Marshall, this group uses African drumming and dance to create a high-energy, rhythmic performance.

August 21:

11 pm - 6:00 pm: Discover Cedar Fairmount Festival
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Sammy DeLeon and his Latin Jazz Ensemble: Salsa (on the green next to NightTown, 12387 Cedar Road)

Sammy DeLeon is recognized and respected as a talented timbalero percussionist. In fact, Tito Puente referred to him as “the hottest and most innovative young timbalero. The band has performed nationally and locally at such venues as Severance Hall, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Blossom Music Center, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and the Tri-C Jazz-Fest.
