    It's too hot to cook this week, so come out onto the streets of Cleveland Heights to enjoy the street festivals, rub elbows with your neighbors, and appreciate your local musicians. When it gets too hot, duck into a nice cool Heights restaurant. All of the following events are brought to you by your local merchants and nonprofits:


    Cedar Lee Festival


    Tuesday, July 13
    The Cedar Lee Special Improvement District presents the annual free
    Cedar Lee Festival
    Lee Road, Cleveland Heights
    6 to 9 p.m.

    Come join your friends and neighbors at this popular annual free family event, when Lee Road from Ormond Road to Zagara' s abounds with fun on the street. Enjoy live music with N*O*S* in the Cedar Lee minipark, and take a spin in the ever-fascinating Euclid Beach Rocket Car. Arts and crafts for the kids in the parkinglot at Meadowbrook & Lee presented by Kultu re Kids and the Heights Parent Center, and food, fun, and friends up and down the street.

    N*O*S* (New Old Style) plays R&B from the 50's and 60's. N*O*S, named WMJI's House Band in 2003, plays a wide range of tunes from the 1950's and 1960's with an infectious energy.

    Coventry Street Fair





    Thursday, July 15
    The Coventry Village Special Improvement District presents
    Coventry Street Fair *
    Coventry Road, Cleveland Heights
    6 to 9 p.m.


    Coventry Road will be closed to traffic from Mayfield to Euclid Heights Boulevard, and the street will be overflowing with street performers, farmer's stalls with fresh produce and homemade goods, sidewalk sales, outdoor dining, and music at each end of the street. Enjoy a taste of the Coventry Fair of old, now even better.

    HeightsArts will be presenting the ever- popular Blue Lunch, pictured above, as part of the PARTY in the Heights series, but on the street rather than Under the Arch.

    Family Fun Night

    Heights Parent Center and the City of University Heights present the annual free
    Family Fun Night
    Wiley Middle School lawn, 2151 Miramar Boulevard, University Heights


    7 - 7:45 pm Enjoy family friendly activities before the concert. Fun for kids from 0 - 10: bubbles, water toys, sidewalk chalk and arts & crafts
    7:45 - 9:00 pm Concert by the Clearfork Bluegrass Quartet

    Bring a blanket, picnic and lawn chairs and enjoy this talented duo. Music and Nature Collide as Terry Leonini and Greg Artzner use their wonderful voices and instrumental playing to celebrate the diversity of life on Earth.

    Tickets available at all three locations.
    Parking Lot seating $5 in advance, $7 at the door.
    Pavilion Seating, chairs provided, $10.
    Rain or shine.
    Beverages and snacks for sale. No alcohol permitted. Bike racks available.
