Cedar Fairmount Mural nearing completion ! |

HeightsArts commissioned Cleveland
Heights artist Jesse Rhinehart to paint a mural
for the west
wall of the Heights Center Building at Lennox and Cedar
Roads.
Rhinehart obtained archival photos of the Cedar
Fairmount storefronts and is painting a trompe l'euil
depiction of a barbershop with reflections of streetlife
on the window as well as a view into the barbershop.
The mural is being painted in his studio and is
scheduled for completion in the coming weeks.
He is using outdoor acrylic paints and will coat the
mural with a clear ultra-violet protective coating as
well as a wax buffer.
Funding for the mural has generously been provided by
the Heights
Center Building, Cedar Fairmount Special Improvement
District, Nighttown Restaurant, Cedar-Grandview
Company, Alcazar Hotel, and Vixseboxse Art
Galleries. Please contact heightsarts@sbcglobal.net if
you or your company would like to be a contributor.
Contributions over $500 will be acknowledged on the
mural.

classes for kids and teens. Brochures and

Workshop participants will be limited to 15 people, but
the viewing public is welcome to stop by during these
times to experience the performative aspect of this
interactive installation.
Some tools and material will be available at the gallery
for each seminar, however participants will be asked to
supply additional materials for their individual creations.
A material list and additional details for each workshop
are available on the newsense website. Since space is
limited, advance registration for the workshops is
strongly encouraged.
