Fall may be the end of summer, but it's the beginning of a new arts season. This issue of Heights Arts newsletter is one to print out and save.

After Katrina

Heights Arts Gallery
2173 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights 216.371.3344

Photographs by Linda Butler, Daniel Levin, and Jonathan Wayne
Curated by Tom Hinson

Friday, September 8, 6 to 9 pm
Opening Reception

Through October 28

Guest curator Tom Hinson has gathered works by area photographers who traveled to the gulf coast in the fall of 2005 in the weeks after Hurricane Katrina. This exhibition presents Butler’s meditative black-and- white prints that feature eerie juxtapositions of objects and structures, Levin’s panoramic composites whose disjointed assembly reflects the broken landscape, and Wayne’s large color images that combine two or three square frames to present oddly peaceful compositions of the aftermath of the storm.
