This native Cleveland drummer has performed and or recorded with many musical artists including James Moody, David “Fathead” Newman, Greg Osby, Larry Coryell, Mose Allison, Pat Martino and popular recording artist, Gerald Levert. Having played with a diverse mix of artist, Samuels has made a smooth transition from a fine accompanist to a dynamic bandleader.

Willard Jenkins, artistic director for the Tri – C JazzFest says, “Samuels, without a doubt is a keeper of the hip groove, and his deft touch is what drives and journeys the music.”

Every Saturday closest to April Fool's Day is the time for the Edible Books Festival. This is the third festival sponsored by Loganberry Books and Strong Bindery as part of the International phenomenon started in 2000. There is only one rule: create edible art that has something to do with books. Books will be exhibited, admired, voted upon, and consumed. Participation is free, voting and eating rights are $3 contribution. Prizes will be awarded for Most Appetizing, Most Bookish, and Most Creative entries.
