Nationally respected artist Cathie Bleck of Cleveland
Heights works in scratchboard, a medium that is
made up of clay on board where ink and liquid clay
pigments are layered on the board and then
scratched away with engraving (or similar)
tools. Bleck will give a talk and demonstration on
this process, including the mixing of her
liquid clay pigments, her influences, and new foray
into large-scale works in
what is more commonly a small and intimate
medium.
