math department at John Carroll UniversityPictured above is Dwight (left) on a school bus in the early years and below, more recently.

Joseph Turkaly
We extend our condolences to the family of Joseph Turkaly, an artist who lived in Cleveland Heights and passed away this week.  His neighbor, Mark Majewski, had this to say:  He was a sculptor and long time art teacher. The bronze in his yard, 'Immigrant Mother', is a prominent feature of our neighborhood. He had just begun work on a new sculpture in cherry wood in his back yard. I had the pleasure of discussing it with him and his son, Tom, just this past weekend.
