Cards - Beyond Collage with Alex Tapie
Make festive cards for the extra special people in your life. Push the boundaries of collage through an exploration of a variety of materials. Work with paper, fabric, embroidery, drawing mediums, and beeswax to create tactile and intricate images. Feel welcome to bring your own fabric remnants, small objects, text, poems, photo-copied photographs or images, to incorporate into your personalized greetings.

Saturday December 8: 1pm-3:30pm
Silk Painting with Susan Skove
Create a scintillating silk scarf for yourself or for a gift! Susan Skove will demonstrate various silk painting techniques. Participants will experiment with scrap silk strips to build confidence, and then paint their own 22 inch square scarf. Please bring sketches of designs or images you may want to use. Susan will steam set your finished work at her studio and it will be ready for you to pick up the following Saturday, December 15 between 9am-5pm at Heights Arts Studio.
