The Poet Laureate must be 18 years of age and for at least the last 12 months be living or employed full-time in Cleveland Heights. The Selection Panel will nominate the Laureate based on the quality of the poet's work, the suitability of the poet's work for civic celebration or meditation, and the capability of the poet to present poetry orally in public.

2. One-paragraph vision statement for your service as Poet Laureate
3. At least 3 and no more than 5 poems submitted in writing

HeightsArts gallery, 2173 Lee Road, Wednesday thru Saturday noon to 9 pm and Sunday 1-5

Judging will be during the month of March and will take place in two parts:

1. Review of submitted materials and selection of finalists.
2. Finalists will be invited to meet with the panel to present their work orally.
