Call for entries extended to January 25, 2018

At Table: Cleveland Culinaria, our popular biennial exhibition where visual artists partner up with some of Cleveland’s most creative culinary experts, will transform the Heights Arts gallery into themed installations from August 31-October 14, 2018. It is open to all Northeast Ohio visual artists, with an emphasis on functional arts.

Selected visual artists will be grouped into a creative team with a participating chef or culinary expert to design and create a unique tablescape and surrounding environment that speaks to the art of food and community.

Groups will be led by the “culinaria” and informed by his/her vision. Each group will be given approximately a 10 x 10 foot space in the Heights Arts Gallery to transform for the exhibition, and must attend an initial mandatory meeting on February 5, 2018  to determine space, meet other team members and begin the creative process.  The resulting tablescape and environment will include complete table settings for four, along with photographs, drawings, prints or paintings related to the theme.

GUIDELINES 

Participating culinary professionals and visual artists must agree to:

• The timeline (listed below) and responsibility of leading their designated artistic groups.
• Heights Arts’ use of their names associated with the resulting work on exhibit and for sale in the gallery.
• Attend an At Table: Food and Drink event designated for their creative team at the Heights Arts gallery.
