Jerry Wang is a local musician as well as painter, native to Tianjin, China. Within his musical career, Wang taught Erhu, a Chinese traditional instrument, at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music for over 25 years. Although painting has always been his second passion, Wang’s artwork has achieved international recognition and success. His art works have been published in the Tianjin Daily Newspaper and the Tianjin Peoples Fine Arts Publishing House Magazine. Since moving to America, Wang has been invited to present art demonstration classes all over the Northeast Ohio area, including the Cleveland Institute of Art and Cleveland Art Museum. When Wang is not painting, he is dedicated to helping others paint as an art teacher. He loves to teach the history and the technique of Chinese traditional watercolor.
Wang currently resides in Lakewood nearby his daughter, Dr. Shuai Wang who performs as a concert pianist and a piano faculty member at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Guangsheng Wang is very grateful for his opportunity in America and plans to continue sharing his passion for Chinese traditional art forms.
