Billy Delfs

I started photographing in high school, my teacher was Mr. B and we made pinhole images, learned about screen printing (which is a similar light sensitive process) and how to print in the darkroom. I took what we learned and started photographing my friends who rode BMX. Shortly after starting Community College, I wrote and photographed a story of one of them that was published in a U.K. Magazine with a 6-page feature.
Once my year at ICP was finished, I returned to Cleveland for family and cost of living. I worked at American Greetings briefly before editorial assignments came in. I started traveling all over Ohio, PA, and MI making images for publication, worked for several nonprofits, and transitioned to design firms for about 10 years. I now contribute to small businesses, building long term photo stories, and working on my landscapes.
