Heights Arts 2022 Annual Fund

SUPPORT HEIGHTS ARTS' 2022 ANNUAL FUND

It’s once again time for our annual fund campaign, which provides us with critical support in serving our mission to connect arts and community. If you gave in the past, you already know the impact of your gift. If you are new to us, we hope you will help us sustain our important programming, and we invite you to experience some of our many offerings in poetry, music, and visual arts and crafts in the coming year.

During our 2021-2022 fiscal year, we showcased and supported over 150 local arts and crafts professionals in our Holiday and year-round Store, presented five group and five individual exhibitions including our intern / student exhibitions, provided a High School exhibition internship for a CHHS Junior and Senior student, and provided a Store Internship for two students interested in arts retail and management.

In our literary discipline, we featured the work of 16 poets through four onsite and one partner Ekphrastacy – Artists Talk and Poets Respond events in conjunction with our and Valley Art Center’s exhibitions and continued to oversee the longest-running Poet Laureateship in the state — the Cleveland Heights Poet Laureate. Our 10th and current laureate, Ray McNiece, received a prestigious fellowship from the Academy of American Poets as a result of his Heights Arts laureateship.

With our post-pandemic music programming reinstated, we presented four Gallery Concerts featuring new music genres, co-presented two partner concerts and one recital with the No Exit New Music Ensemble, and introduced our first ARTbar performance, mixing drinks, poetry, and music to a sold-out audience.

NEW THIS YEAR – Become a member of the Heights Arts 2025 Club

The dazzling 20th-anniversary celebration Heights Arts had planned two years ago was canceled due to the pandemic. Undaunted, we are now redirecting our excitement and energy to our 25th anniversary in 2025! The Heights Arts 2025 Club is a group of dedicated arts champions who believe in helping sustain Heights Arts and our mission to serve the many literary, musical, and visual artists who live in and enrich the region and bring their contributions to the community.

2025 members pledge to give $2500 or more between the fall of 2022 and June 30, 2025.

That breaks down to:
• $83.34 or more in 30 (or fewer) monthly payments as a sustaining member
• $833.34 or more per year in three payments
• $2500 or more in any year

2025 Club members receive recognition on our website and other materials, and will be invited to a special event in the fall of 2025 honoring their dedication to Heights Arts, and celebrating our accomplishments in connecting arts and community over the last 25 years.

We ask that you consider a gift at any level – knowing it will make a big difference to our small but mighty organization. Gifts of $50 or more receive membership benefits.

With gratitude in advance of your generous support,

Rachel Bernstein, Executive Director

Bill Stigelman, Board President
