I am a sturdy advocate of all things Cleveland Heights; I have lived with my husband in CH for nearly 30 years. My career in foodservice and hospitality started 36 years ago as a chef’s apprentice, in a small, local, French restaurant. After a few stints working for others and growing the scope of my culinary services, I decided to locate my current business, a French Patisserie+Cafe-Sophie La Gourmande, on Lee Road. I serve as Sophie Executive Chef and Business Manager. I also currently sit on the board of the Cedar Lee Special Improvement District

Why I got involved:

“I became involved with Heights Arts thru years of friendship and working on projects with Rachel Bernstein and former board member on several Heights Arts initiatives over a 10 year period. For years I have been a huge fan of the HA Store. Heights Arts is a gem in our community as well as an anchor for the neighborhood. I believe the variety of “art” our organization brings to Lee Road and the Heights community is exceptional, valuable and a gateway to art in northeastern Ohio.”
