Carlye Hutchinson

Carlye Hutchinson is a multidisciplinary artist and public art educator based in the Northeast Ohio. She holds a BFA in oil painting and brings a wide-ranging, process-driven approach to her work, which includes figurative painting, recycled craft, ceramics, and illustration. Carlye’s practice is grounded in storytelling—drawing from the complexities of girlhood, identity, and the lived realities of teaching in an under-resourced urban school. Her recent focus includes small-batch ceramic trays, hand-sculpted animal figures, and expressive sticker designs that blend humor with heartfelt reflection. With a playful yet intentional aesthetic, Carlye creates accessible, tactile works that aim to connect, comfort, and delight.
