Kylie Demkowicz

Kylie Demkowicz was born in 1996 and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where she is an active visual artist. A recent graduate of Kent State University, her degree is in fine arts, with a focus of sculpture. So far in her early career, Kylie has been displayed in over a dozen art exhibitions, has been involved in three public art displays in Northeast Ohio, and is the selected recipient of numerous competitive grants and scholarships for both her painting and sculptural works. While continuing her practice for upcoming shows and commissions, she has plans to pursue a master’s degree in art education, and help young people find passion in artistic expression.
Kylie specializes in figurative studies and color relations. This translates through a broad spectrum of work, which includes acrylic and mixed media paintings, pastel drawings and multimedia sculpture.
Her recent works explore a full-scale hybrid construction which makes combined use of two specialized art branches. In these pieces, painting and sculpture are used in equal parts to explore portraiture, with overarching themes of gender and generational studies.
