Catherine Davies Paetz is a jewelry artist and educator. Her joyful work includes both pendants and earrings, but earrings are a particular favorite to make and wear. Her recent designs are primarily in silver and enamel on silver or copper. Catherine is often inspired by nature’s colors and patterns with a particular interest in plants and flowers. Her work explores rich colors, playful line, symmetry/asymmetry, impressionist styles, mandala inspired designs, and the effects of light and enamel on silver. When not in her studio, Catherine has a passion for teaching jewelry classes and workshops, including precious metal clay and traditional metal work.
