Renee Sentilles

Renée Sentilles is a self-trained artist who paints and grows flowers in Cleveland Heights. She calls her paintings “edited art” because she begins with a mess of color and then searches for flowers, painting out the negative spaces and adding to the positive ones. She is also a professor of American history at Case Western Reserve University, and is currently writing In Her Shoes: Getting to the Sole of American Women’s History.
