Rima Tessman

Rima Tessman’s work is inspired by nature and traditional folk motifs. She is especially drawn to vintage textiles because of the stories they hold and for the way they evoke a distant time and place. Many of her Birch + Loon pieces are made from or contain bits of salvaged quilts and domestic linens which she revives using botanical dyes.
Textile art that is functional and can be enjoyed with both the senses of sight and touch is Rima’s passion. She lives in Highland Heights with her husband and children and works from her sunroom studio.
