Your Spotlight Awaits

Are you a talented musician in Northeast Ohio ready to share your sound with our community? We’re looking for professional ensembles in all genres that just don’t play songs, but create experiences and connections. Heights Arts has year-round opportunities to play in a variety of programs.

Ensembles are paid a $500 stipend if chosen for a performance. There is no fee to apply.

Ensemble Application Guidelines

Applications are reviewed monthly by our Music Community Team. The application for each music season, which runs from September through the following August, is due June 30. Applications received after that time will be considered for the following season. Groups must:

Be made up of at least 50% musicians who live in Northeast Ohio
Be between 2 and 6 members. Solo acts and groups of 7 or more are not considered.
Provide links to recent examples of the group’s music.
Have availability on Thursday or Saturday evenings.
Be willing to collaborate with Heights Arts to promote the event and communicate on time to arrange the details of their performance.

The Inside Track

Acoustic performances work best in our space.
Audience capacity is 40 for ARTbar and 50 for audience seating.
Performers and ensembles must help promote the events through their own promotion channels (e.g., social media, email, etc.)
We welcome the sales of CD’s or other promotional items before and after the performance using your own sales platform. Heights Arts does not take a commission on these sales.

Performance Opportunities

ARTbar transforms the Heights Arts gallery into an intimate cocktail lounge. It is a ticketed series that blends live jazz or world music with a specially curated cocktail.

Gallery Concerts are free and open to the public. At the heart of this program is our commitment to supporting Northeast Ohio artists by providing paid opportunities to share their music with the community.

ARTbar creates an atmosphere like no other by mixing curated cocktails, music, art, and poetry in Heights Arts’ beautiful gallery on Lee Road. The space is transformed into a cocktail lounge setting where audience members gather to experience intimate performances in tandem with current exhibitions. Featured Ensemble: Horizon Trio Trumpeter and composer Garrett Folger, whose performances have taken him to Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and beyond, joins pianist Anthony Fuoco and drummer/percussionist Carmen Castaldi for an evening of original jazz works. One drink minimum. Light snacks and a limited bar including beer, wine, sparkling wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and the following curated cocktails: AVIATION & ESPRESSO MARTINI

Heights Arts Gallery Concerts feature performances celebrating varied genres in our main gallery on Lee Road. Showcasing the talent of our Northeast Ohio musicians and offering them paid opportunities to share their gifts with the community is a core value. Free to all, these performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and offer open seating. Come a bit early and enjoy what’s on view in our gallery, or browse art and crafts from local artists in our store. Pandan Quartet with Kirsten Docter - Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 7:00-8:30pm The Pandan String Quartet joins violist Kirsten Docter, Associate Professor of Viola at Oberlin and former member of the Cleveland-based Cavani String Quartet, for a program featuring Haydn “Sunrise” quartet, Dvorak “American” quintet, and Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate's Pisachi ("Reveal").

The Bryden Chamber Players perform Franz Schubert's epic G-Major Quartet and share the composer's story via letters and contemporary accounts.
