ARTbar Series

ARTbar creates an atmosphere like no other by mixing curated cocktails, music, art, and poetry in Heights Arts’ beautiful gallery on Lee Road. The space is transformed into a cocktail lounge setting where audience members gather to experience intimate performances in tandem with current exhibitions.

This year’s series will feature local favorite performers – the Dan Bruce Trio and Hot Club of Cleveland — along with nationally acclaimed percussionist Jamey Haddad with his trio in May 2024.

Jamey Haddad holds a singular position in the world of jazz and contemporary
music. Haddad’s musical voice transcends styles and trends, and the universal quality
of his playing has attracted many international collaborations with artists including
Yo-Yo Ma, Paul Simon, and Sting. Born of Lebanese descent, he is regarded as one
of the foremost world music and jazz percussionists in the United States.

Jeremey Poparad is a guitarist, bassist, composer, and educator in the Northeast Ohio area. As a performer, Jeremey regularly appears with jazz and rock groups as well as classical ensembles and in musical theatre pit orchestras. He performs regularly as co-principal double bass for the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, musical theatre productions at the Cleveland Playhouse, Canton Players Guild, and Porthouse Theatres, with jazz big bands such as the Danjo Orchestra, and as a band leader with his own ensembles.
