Courtney L. Black

Courtney L. Black is an award-winning American poetess, ecologist, and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores ecological connection, social justice, and folklore. She is the founder of Le Chat Noir Productions and Artistic Director of Sankofa Sol Arts Inquiry Collective (SSAIC), Lillie B’s House, and the award-winning The Nanny Project. Based between her hometown of Cleveland and wherever her work takes her, Black continues to create poetry, performance, and multimedia projects.
