Dejiah Archie-Davis (b. 1997, Cleveland,Ohio) is a multidisciplinary artist who explores the intersections between self identity and history by utilizing mixed media, photography and video. Dejiah narrates experiences from observational and recollective memory. She engages her subjects with the exploration of spiritual and divergent connections, while emphasizing the influence of environmental transformation. While exploring with color and pattern techniques, she creates space and depth within her physical and video work. Images are scaled and textured, while her collages are revived into repetitive moments that build upon itself until the original source is unrecognisable.By using this style in her work, Dejiah creates dialogue between the familiarity and uncertainty of black sociality and futurisms.

Dejiah Archie-Davis received her B.F.A from Columbus College of Art and Design in fine arts, and has been making mixed media art professionally since 2013. She currently works as a full-time artist, photographer, filmmaker, & curator. Dejiah has also worked as an arts instructor for over five years within private schools and artist workshops.

Dejiah’s work has been exhibited and collected throughout the United States, featured at galleries such as MOCA Cleveland, The Carnegie, Beeler Gallery, 934 Gallery, & amongst others. She is currently discovering other roles in her artist career, as she recently became a juror for the Ohio Shorts Film Festival for the Wexner Center of the Arts.
