Kate Lavik

My name is Kate Lavik. I’m a local artist inspired by Cleveland’s natural and manmade landmarks. The “Emerald Necklace” of the Cleveland Metroparks and the Art Deco motifs found in architecture around the city are some examples of my Cleveland-area muses. I offer prints of my watercolor pencil and marker illustrations. I also enamel and design jewelry. My passion in art started early, drawing in the margins of notebooks and worksheets in elementary school. When I exchanged school for full-time work, my artistic passions took a side seat to my professional interests in psychology and education; but I still doodled in meetings, still made jewelry for family and friends, and still made art with my own children. I felt a calling to reignite my passion for art, fanning the embers that had been glowing steadily all along, and transforming those embers into a small business. Please enjoy!
