Hollis Richardson has been painting, drawing and sculpting for over eighty years. He studied art and earned a master’s degree in art education from Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma. After years of teaching and mental health work, he began working on his art full time in 1992. He has participated in over 150 juried shows in 15 states and won numerous awards nationwide.

Now 92 years old, he still delights in the process of creating good design and composition. His imaginative, distinctive work is informed by his many varied and rich life experiences with diverse cultures and regions of the US. It is an expression of his appreciation of the human spirit and the elements of design, often tinged with a touch of whimsy and humor. His work has been acquired by many discerning collectors nationwide
