Romy Anderson is a textile artist based out of Northeast Ohio and attended Kent State University obtaining a BFA inTextiles. Romy has always had a love for visual arts, math, and color. Weaving turned out to be the perfectcombination of these passions. Specializing in double weave with painted warps, Romy delves into the fundamentalgrid created by the loom. Drawing from architecture and travel, her weavings explore the interaction of color whiledeconstructing the illusionistic aspect of spaces.
In addition to her personal practice, Romy is an Instructor, Residency and Program Manager at Praxis Fiber Workshop in Cleveland Ohio.
