Jessica Miroglotta
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jessica Miroglotta holds two degrees in art education, and currently spends her days teaching a wonderful and enthusiastic group of students all about drawing, pottery, printmaking, and art history at Lake Catholic High School in Mentor. Her favorite media to use when creating are printmaking and drawing, because of their inherent ability to create realistic, detailed, yet expressive works. Jessica often explores personal, narrative themes in her work, including travels, family history, and inner monologue.
JESSICA ON PET PROJECT
“Animals have been an important part of my life since I was a little girl and my family adopted a rescue dog. All of my life I have grown up with pets, and am now the proud owner of a rescued dog myself. Pets become wonderful, essential parts of our families. However, pets are not the only animals who deserve our attention. I am a lifelong vegetarian, very dedicated to the cause of the welfare of all animals. This project hits home for me in many ways, and is an incredibly meaningful, personal experience.”
Jessica’s color pencil drawings on black paper are available in four sizes from 4″ x 6″ to 10″ x 12.” Each commissioned portrait takes about six to eight weeks to complete, and is completely original, based on the photograph that you provide. Artist signed.
