Julianne Edberg – Artist of the Month
Julianne Edberg, our March Artist of the Month, is attracted to the peculiar, the geometric, the humorous, and words. For her, the juxtaposition of two wrong things can lead to perfect meaning. In making her one-of-a-kind handmade books, she utilizes the computer for help with patterns and the internet for inspiration.
Edberg holds a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and for thirty-one years was employed as a graphic designer at Cuyahoga Community College. She has studied bookbinding with Barbara Mauriello and “secret drawers” with Randi Parkhurst at Penland School of Crafts.
Stop in the gallery during the month of March and enter our drawing to win Edberg’s handbound artbook; no purchase necessary.
