Michael Romanik – Artist of the Month
Artist member Michael Romanik is Heights Arts Artist of the Month for June 2014. Come to Heights Arts to see this beautiful pendant that Heights Arts has purchased from the artist. Our patrons may enter a raffle throughout the month of June to win this original artwork with the winner to be announced in early July. Michael Romanik received a BFA degree in Drawing from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1989. He was introduced to enameling and metal work while a student at CIA. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Ohio Craft Museum in Columbus OH. He has exhibited in many art & craft shows over the past 21 years and has won many awards. Personal show achievements include exhibiting in the prestigious Smithsonian Craft Show in 2012 and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Showin 2013. Michael’s work has been included in many publications over the years. His work has been featured in many magazines such as Glass on Metal, Ornament, American Craft,Lapidary Journaland Art Jewelry. He was a recipient of a 2011 Creative Workforce Fellowship, generously funded by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, The Community Partnership for Arts and Culture, and the residents of Cuyahoga County.
