Local Artists Featured in Heights Arts’ 2023 Holiday Store

Shoppers can give back when they buy gifts through the Heights Arts Holiday Store. The Holiday Store, now in its 22nd year, offers art and craft gifts from over a hundred local artists, with something for everyone – and every kind of celebration.

Cleveland Heights, OH: From November 3 to December 30, 2023, Heights Arts’ entire brick-and-mortar space at 2175 Lee Road in Cleveland Heights will be transformed into a festive gift shop featuring the work of artists, creators, musicians, and authors — and showcasing the unique talents present in the greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio region.

Shoppers are not the only ones excited about this yearly “go-to” for holiday gifts. Says participating artist Bahareh Ghasemi, “Discover a holiday shopping experience like no other at the Holiday Store at Heights Arts. With a curated selection of locally crafted treasures, each item tells a story of our vibrant community. It’s a place where art, culture, and the spirit of the season come together to create lasting memories and meaningful connections.”

The Holiday Store will open with a members-only preview on November 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a public opening until 8:00 p.m.

For over 20 years, the Heights Arts Holiday Store has been a staple in Cleveland Heights’ seasonal celebrations. This year, the organization will also offer the option of booking Community Partner Nights, which provide community members and businesses with a specialized shopping experience — complete with a cash bar, special discount, and other perks.

“Community Partner Nights offer community members and business owners a great alternative to the traditional office party or night out,” says Assistant Director Cameron Gorman. “The winter season is a wonderful time for gathering — and the Holiday Store is the perfect backdrop.”

Featuring local artists of all disciplines within its walls, the store supports the work of community-based creatives while also providing unique, one-of-a-kind gifts to shoppers.

“The holidays are a wonderful time to shop for handmade creations,” notes jewelry artist Sarah Bullington. “When you are shopping for someone special, there really isn’t anything more special that you can buy than something that is handmade.”

Items include Holiday Store favorites such as ornaments, jewelry, and textiles — in addition to sculptures, books, ceramics, CDs, and more.

“The Holiday Store at Heights Arts is going to have some of the most playful and interesting fine crafts and arts that NEO has to offer,” says multimedia artist Hope Hickman. “They really do a terrific job at curating the work, making it a must-go for holiday shopping.”
