Close Encounters chamber music concerts

Heights Arts offers sponsorships for specific Close Encounters concerts, open rehearsals, or ARTbar concerts.

Close Encounters sponsors can also choose to arrange special after-concert opportunities to join the musicians, hosts, and other guests for lively conversation catered in the host home or at an off-site venue. See below for sponsorship information.

Close Encounters Concert Sponsorship

Close Encounters Concert Sponsorship with Continuing Conversations

($1400 / $1080 tax-deductible)

Individuals or organizations have the option to sponsor a specific concert, with the following benefits:

  • two concert tickets with reserved seating to sponsored performance
  • acknowledgement as concert sponsor
    • in the program*
    • on the music card mailing*
    • on event card mailing for the sponsored concert*
    • online as the concert sponsor on the event and promotions
    • announced at the live event
  • Continuing Conversations option (Close Encounters only – see below)

ARTbar Sponsorship

($600 / $520 tax-deductible)

  • two concert tickets with reserved seating to sponsored performance
  • two free cocktails
  • acknowledgement as concert sponsor
    • in the program*
    • on the music card mailing*
    • on event card mailing for the sponsored concert*
    • online as the concert sponsor on the event and promotions
    • announced at the live event

Continuing Conversations*

Heights Arts has partnered with local restaurants and caterers to facilitate its “Continuing Conversation” opportunity for Close Encounters sponsors. A Continuing Conversation event takes place directly after the concert. It can be catered at the Host home (with the host’s permission) or held at nearby restaurant in which one or more musicians would join the Sponsor, Host(s), the director and guest for dinner and any other guests the Sponsor would like to invite.

Heights Arts Will:

  • Coordinate musician availability and communicate that availability to concert sponsors who are interested in hosting a Continuing Conversations event, and determine (if the sponsor is not also the host of a concert in a private residence) whether the host is open to holding the event in their home.**
  • Provide a list of catering options, including both in-home and restaurant-based options, to the sponsors. These options may come with a discount provided through Heights Arts. (See below; “Continuing Conversations Catering Options.”)
  • Provide the email addresses of each of the participating musicians to the sponsors for communication purposes.

 

The Sponsor Will:

  • Coordinate catering for the Continuing Conversations event.***
  • If the event is held in a private residence, set up for the dinner event.
  • Coordinate the menu options for the guests with the restaurant.
  • Send event information to musicians via email.
  • Remain present for the duration of the Continuing Conversations event.

*Continuing Conversations may not be available for every concert. It will depend upon the availability of musicians to participate

**Catering is not an option for events held outside of residences.

*** While Heights Arts provides a list of restaurants offering certain discounts, the Sponsor may choose to book the event with any restaurant of their choice, provided it is within a reasonable distance from the performance location.
