Katie Ford, artist and owner of brand Fiber and Gloss, majored in Art Education at Kent State University as she always dreamed of becoming an art teacher. Once she got there, she found herself missing out by not taking time to create art for herself. She set out to start an Etsy shop with all sorts of small creations, and she has continually worked to grow her business in to what it is today over the last four years. Fiber and Gloss is an art and gift brand that specializes in original illustrations sold on a variety of locally printed goods including art prints, greeting cards, magnets, stickers, buttons, and more. Katie is best known now for her map prints that celebrate the most meaningful memories and places in her customers’ worlds. Katie strives to create pieces that help us all celebrate and love our homes in a new way with a side of extra punny greeting cards and a dash of color. Katie’s work is sold in small shops across the country, but she, of course, is happiest to be well represented here in Cleveland!
