Elaine Lamb has been a professional studio potter all her adult life. She has worked in several studio settings in Ohio including owning a successful studio/gallery in Medina’s Historic District. Elaine currently divides her time between her ultra modern sky-lit studio in Medina and her mountain retreat where she has a second home and studio among the art community of Penland, North Carolina.
Elaine works in porcelain, enriching each piece with sgraffito and silk screen transfer designs depicting nature or our built environment, and finished with glazes, and under glazes. Hand-built, wheel thrown and inspired by the colors in our homes and lives, Elaine’s work is made by hand, one piece at a time complimenting any home decor while satisfying an appreciation for the art of personal expression made unique by the mark of the hand.
