Cleveland Orchestra musicians and friends come together to celebrate French composer Maurice Ravel in our first Close Encounters concert of the year. In addition to Ravel’s string quartet, often considered his first masterpiece, the program features W.A. Mozart’s “Spring” quartet and brings listeners on a walk through five different gardens at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington D.C. with Caroline Shaw’s Plan and Elevation.
Close Encounters is Heights Arts’ signature Sunday afternoon chamber music series, and the first concert in this season's series features performers Ioana Missits, violin, Mari Sato, violin, Lisa Boyko, viola, and Mingyao Zhao, cello.
