Master Class in Voice

Sandra Simon voice master classSunday, May 22 at 3:00 p.m.

Noted soprano soloist Sandra Simon will lead a master class performance on Sunday, May 22 in the Heights Arts gallery. Master classes are free and open to the public for observation. Each features students who perform with excellence within various levels, and have been recommended by their teachers.

Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to apply for all master class sessions; applicants must be recommended by their music teacher  in addition to the online form below for consideration by May 1, 2016.

Participating students and one parent (if under 18) are given complimentary tickets to an upcoming Heights Arts’ Close Encounters chamber music concert.

ABOUT MS. SIMON

Sandra Simon has appeared as soprano soloist in the United States and abroad with many fine orchestras and ensembles including Tafelmusik of Toronto, Handel and Haydn Society of Boston, Apollo’s Fire, The Memphis Symphony, Red an Orchestra, Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, The Cleveland Pops, The King’s Noyse, and The Baltimore Consort.  On the opera stage, she has performed in leading roles with Opera Atelier of Toronto, Cleveland Opera, The Singapore Arts Festival, The Ojai Arts Festival, American Bach Project, Ex Machina Antique Music Theater, and Chautauqua Opera.

A longstanding member of Actor’s Equity, Ms. Simon has starred in many professional regional theater productions including here in Cleveland at Great Lakes Theater Festival, Cleveland Play House and Dobama Theater, and is a frequent guest of The Musical Theater Project.

Ms. Simon has recorded for Naxos American Classics, Avie International, Koch International Classics and New World Records.
