How Pet Project works:

The public will be able to view samples of pet portraits  by participating Pet Project artists in the Heights Arts gallery, through printed brochures available throughout the Cleveland area, and online at our website. Pet Project will be an on-going community program for Heights Arts.

Pet owners will choose an artist and a size of artwork to be commissioned. Prices will vary depending on size of artwork and materials used, but will be based on the following price range for an unframed, 2D portrait on paper, canvas, or similar material:

4″x6″ portrait $ 65.00
5″x7″ portrait $ 85.00
8″x10″ portrait $100.00
10″x12″ portrait$125.00

Artists working in other mediums (ceramic, glass, textiles, etc.) may submit examples and may be selected. Pricing will be determined on an individual basis.

Pet owners will be able to commission works at any time of the year, and participating Pet Project artists will have six to eight weeks to create each commissioned portrait. Artists will receive 60% in commission for each completed portrait. Heights Arts will donate 5% of its 40% commission to participating animal adoption organizations.
