In honor of our community’s bicycle friendly initiatives, our Art of the Month is Kristen Cliffel’s ceramic “Bicycle Heart.”

A ceramic sculptor living and working in Cleveland, Kristen was awarded the Cleveland Arts Prize in 2016 for mid-career artist in the visual arts. She has also been awarded a Creative Workforce Fellowship from the Cuyahoga Partnership for Arts and Culture, and has received two Ohio Arts Council Individual Artists Fellowships. Besides being a practicing studio artist, Kristen teaches sculpture and ceramics with school-aged children in the Northeast Ohio area.
