Justin Michael Will is a multidisciplinary artist working in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently creating at Vessel City in Gordon Square, he also maintains a commercial illustration, design, and mural practice. His work can be found in galleries, local breweries, restaurants, and on the sides of buildings in a number of Cleveland suburbs. Having studied illustration at the Columbus College of Art and Design, most of Justin’s experience in the arts has been self made and taught. From 2009 – 2022 he managed Blick Art Materials in Cleveland Heights, where he connected with peers in the arts and studied a variety of creative tools and their applications. Never too comfortable in one creative space for too long, Justin dances in and out of traditional fine arts and illustration. His whimsical works offer space to pause in the moment, as he often aims to spark creativity, joy, and laughter in others. Using ink, paint, colored pencil, paper, and wood, Will offers colorful manifestations of personal emotional themes and desires, seeking balance between softness and strength, connection and self discovery, and discord and control.
