As an artist, my work falls under the categories of doll art, sculpture, fiber art, figurative art, cultural arts and mixed media.
I’m inspired by transformational stories of women, symbolism and historical references. My art explores dimensional layers of spirituality, culture, traditions, and folklore especially with African Diasporic themes.
Exploring the range of fiber in mixed media, I collage paper and fabric textiles to create sculptural forms. I’m drawn to 3D composition because it allows for other sensory perceptions to be activated. Vibrant colors and palettes are used to draw the viewer’s attention.
