Missy resides in Cleveland Heights, Ohio with her husband, George, and cat, Lexi. She has a bachelors degree in engineering and a doctorate degree in nursing. She spent most of her career working in the healthcare industry. Approximately a decade ago, she began taking fused glass lessons with an artist at the Peninsula Art Academy. After a year of training, she purchased her first kiln and struck out on her own while continuing to learn and grow her art. She has retired from healthcare to dedicate her time and attention to fused glass art. Missy has used online resources and consultation to acquire new skills and techniques. She has collaborated with metal and wood artists to design and create unique stands and displays for her work. Missy has an online website and participates in art shows throughout the year. Her work can be found at galleries and gift stores across the northeast Ohio area.
