SPOTLIGHT: Christine Mauersberger Opening Reception

Mauersberger Aquascapes

Friday, May 5, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Join us for the opening reception of Christine Mauersberger, Aquascapes, in the Heights Arts Spotlight Gallery.

A native Clevelander and Heights Arts working-artist member, Christine Mauersberger is an artist who uses a variety of media to create pieces that range from small and intimate to room-sized installations. Her work is featured in private and public collections, including Southwest General Hospital and MetroHealth Hospitals in Cleveland. She has been the recipient of numerous fellowships and grants, including Ohio Arts Council Award of Individual Excellence in 2013 and 2017, a Cuyahoga Arts and Culture Creative Workforce Fellowship.

About the work on view, Christine notes,”The Aquascapes series is directly influenced by my views of Lake Erie. I am always surprised by the transient nature of its color on any one day. I’m interested in creating beautiful images of water and light to evoke its timeless nature.”  The exhibition will be on view through Sunday, June 18.

Working Artist Membership programs are generously supported by the Cyrus Eaton Foundation.
