Artist of the month: Literary
For the month of February, our literary artist of the month is Cathy Barber.
Cathy Barber has an MFA in Poetry from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MA in English from California State University. Her work has been published in a wide range of journals and anthologies including the San Francisco Bay Guardian, the Australian Medical Journal, Slant and Kestrel. Her work has been anthologized in An Eye For An Eye Makes The Whole World Blind: Poets on 9/11, which received the 2003 PEN Oakland Josephine Miles National Literary Award; nth Position’s Times New Roman; and The Cancer Poetry Project Vol 2, which won Best Poetry Book of 2013, Midwest Book Awards. Her Three Short Love Poems was nominated for a Best of the Net award in 2015. Her first chapbook. published by Dancing Girl Press, is Aardvarks, Bloodhounds, Catfish, Dingoes. She has an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is a proud member of Literary Cleveland.
