Literary Artist of the Month – March: Michael Loderstedt

Michael Loderstedt is a Professor Emeritus of Kent State University where he also served as Interim Director of the School of Art. He continues to explore new studio and writing projects that investigate the geography, histories or natural phenomena of particular sites and events. His written works have been published by Muleskinner Journal, NC Literary Review, Bangalore Review and Musepaper. His first collection of poems entitled Why We Fished is currently being published by Redhawk Publications. 
His visual work can also be found in the public collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, Progressive Insurance, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the Akron Art Museum and the Kupferstiche Kabinett in Dresden, Germany and others. He holds a BFA in Printmaking from East Carolina University and an MFA from Kent State University.
