Emergent celebrates the next generation of Northeast Ohio artists, bringing together a diverse group of creators in the early stages of their artistic journey. Representing a wide range of educational backgrounds, lived experiences, and independent practices, the exhibition reflects the vitality of a region where creativity continues to grow. Working across textiles, glass, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, the artists showcase a range of distinctly personal approaches. Romy Anderson explores relationships between color, Scout Bach examines identity and community, Ryan Cermak invents imagined worlds, Layla Davis-Branner reflects on faith and personal history, Emma Gatzulis investigates memory, Annie O’Brien celebrates women excelling in traditionally male-dominates spaces, Gabs Rataiczak is inspired by family and skate culture, and Jazzee Rozier explores emotion, relationships, and survival.
